Blank US map used for the state quiz

Small Northeast states have tap boxes in the Atlantic. On a phone, pinch to zoom for precise taps. Green = first try, yellow = later try, red = missed.

How scoring works

  • First-try score: your percentage counts only states found on the first click, so guessing does not pay.
  • Three tries: a wrong click briefly shows which state you picked. After three misses, the quiz marks the state red and moves on.
  • Personal best: your best score and time for each mode and region are saved in your browser only.
  • Review: at the end, missed states link to their state maps so you can study them.

Practice strategy

Most people know the coastal giants (California, Texas, Florida) and struggle with three clusters: the New England states, the Mid-Atlantic trio of Delaware, Maryland and New Jersey, and the stack of square states in the Plains and Mountain West. Play those regions separately until you score 100%, then try all 50.
